About the Role

We’re seeking a strategic and technically strong Infrastructure Design Manager to lead a talented team of infrastructure and network designers and engineers. This leadership role is pivotal to the successful delivery of end-to-end infrastructure and network design solutions across the enterprise.

You’ll be responsible for driving best practices in engineering, embedding automation-first thinking, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performing infrastructure platforms.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure & Network Engineering, you'll guide a team of 9 (permanent and contract staff), oversee delivery on critical projects, and engage with senior stakeholders to shape future-ready technology solutions.

What You’ll Do

• Own infrastructure and network design outcomes across a broad and complex enterprise environment.
• Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Drive the design and engineering delivery of infrastructure and network projects.
• Champion modern engineering practices, with a strong focus on automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate closely with architecture, delivery, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to provide estimations, planning input, and technical insights.
• Manage external technology vendors involved in delivering infrastructure solutions.

About You

• Proven experience leading infrastructure design and engineering teams in large-scale, mission-critical environments.
• Deep expertise in modern networking practices, including Public Cloud Networking and SASE.
• Strong background in hyper-converged infrastructure, particularly with technologies such as VMware.
• Skilled in automation and IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Packer).
• Demonstrated success delivering complex engineering initiatives in cross-functional teams.
• A critical thinker with a solid grasp of scalable, maintainable infrastructure design principles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across business and technical domains.
• Experienced in producing high-quality technical documentation and contributing to solution architecture design.
