The Opportunity:

For the UK Government, safeguarding National Security is an around-the-clock mission. To tackle the complexity of this challenge, central intelligence and military agencies turn to this technology firm as a trusted partner.

The Role:

You’ll be pivotal in delivering a critical MoD infrastructure programme, leading a specialist team in Windows system upgrades and architecture. Your expertise will shape secure, scalable, and energy-efficient Microsoft Windows Server solutions—both physical and virtual—to meet stringent operational demands.

Your responsibilities include developing high- and low-level design artefacts, selecting energy-efficient hardware, and implementing virtualisation strategies to optimise performance and sustainability. Beyond design, you will take a hands-on approach, ensuring seamless integration, defect-free execution, and alignment with customer requirements.

You’ll work closely with Solution Owners and Project Managers, driving innovation while maintaining robust documentation and ensuring a resilient, future-ready infrastructure that underpins mission-critical operations.

Essential Requirements:

• Sole UK National holding active SC and/or DV clearance.
• Proven experience in delivering structured, high-quality solutions and documentation.
• Expertise in creating and modifying design artefacts, including Architecture Overview Documents, High-Level Designs, and Low-Level Designs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server (various versions), Active Directory, Group Policy, and Certification Authority in enterprise environments.
• Experience in designing and deploying Hyper-V, SCCM, and MECM solutions.
• Background in secure infrastructure solutions, including security policy design and implementation.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and technical team leadership.
• Experience with ESXi to Hyper-V migrations is a plus.

• Base Salary: Up to £70,000
