About the Role - Our IT Support Specialist will assist the IT team in maintaining our technology infrastructure with a focus on Microsoft 365 support and basic security protocols. This position provides valuable hands-on experience while supporting our organization's technology needs. The role reports to the Head of Information Technology and helps implement technology solutions that align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
- Provide technical support for end users across the organization
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Set up and configure workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices
- Assist with user account management in Microsoft 365
Microsoft 365 Support
- Help users navigate and utilize Microsoft 365 applications effectively
- Assist with basic administration tasks in the Microsoft 365 environment
- Support email configuration, SharePoint access, and Teams setup
- Help create and maintain documentation for Microsoft 365 tools
Security Operations Assistance
- Help implement basic security measures following established protocols
- Assist with security awareness training for end users
- Monitor and report potential security incidents to senior team members
- Support the maintenance of security-related documentation
Network Support
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and maintenance
- Help monitor network performance and report issues
- Support the installation and configuration of network equipment
- Assist with network documentation and inventory management
Project Support
- Participate in IT projects under the guidance of senior team members
- Help with testing of new technologies and solutions
- Assist with data collection and reporting for technology initiatives
- Support change management and user adoption efforts
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Knowledge of standard computing systems and common business software applications
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and practices
