Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate key initiatives with a strong focus on managing workshop outputs, maintaining project timelines, driving documentation accuracy, and overseeing process adherence. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in IT project management, stakeholder engagement, and structured documentation, with a knack for turning collaborative sessions into actionable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Facilitation & Output Ownership
- Coordinate, facilitate, and document outputs from project-related workshops (e.g., discovery, requirements gathering, design).
- Translate workshop findings into structured deliverables including action plans, requirements documents, user stories, and process maps.
- Project Planning & Timeline Management
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans including milestones, dependencies, and timelines.
- Monitor and manage progress, proactively identifying risks to timelines and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Documentation & Communication
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including agendas, minutes, decision logs, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies), and status reports.
- Ensure alignment and transparency by distributing updates to stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
- Process & Governance Management
- Ensure projects adhere to internal processes, quality standards, and governance frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in documentation, delivery, and communication practices.
- Stakeholder & Team Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, Business, Vendors) to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Act as a single point of accountability for assigned workstreams, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably within a structured PMO environment.
- Proven experience in leading workshops and translating outcomes into actionable plans.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project methodologies.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet).
