About the Role:

As an IT Project Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in leading and executing IT projects for clients throughout all phases of the project lifecycle: planning, execution, performance monitoring, and project closure. You’ll also contribute to project design and scoping efforts, ensuring smooth execution and alignment with client needs and technical standards.

• Key Responsibilities: Plan, implement, and support IT infrastructure projects involving networks, servers, SANs, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Regularly communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to assess project progress and ensure satisfaction.
• Create, maintain, and update detailed technical documentation.
• Coordinate project schedules and tasks in collaboration with the Manager of Proactive Services.
• Maintain accurate activity records for billing and internal tracking purposes.
• Provide emergency support and assist with escalated technical issues when necessary.
• Consistently deliver high-quality, professional service in alignment with standards.
• Uphold the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all client and company information.

• Customer-Centric Focus: Execute all projects following standardized project management methodologies.
• Align every implementation with technical and operational standards from day one.
• Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date client documentation throughout each project.
• Deliver timely and reliable emergency support when required.

• Desired Outcomes: Maintain 80% or greater billable project/MAC (Moves, Adds, Changes) time.
• Complete projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with scope.
• Serve as a valuable escalation resource for complex customer support issues.

• Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of experience installing and managing Microsoft Server platforms.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter Server.
• At least 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Solid IP networking experience (minimum 3 years), including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong background with Layer 2/3 switches, routers, WAPs/controllers, and firewalls.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 services.
• Experience in project planning and execution.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• A proactive, “do-what-it-takes” attitude.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., VCP, VCAP, CCNA, MCSE) are a plus but not required.
