Desktop Support Specialist

Location: Rosemont, IL

Type: Full-Time | Permanent or Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Travel: Occasional travel to IL plant locations (Elgin, Geneva, Milwaukee areas)

Responsibilities:

• Provision laptops and desktop hardware/software for new and existing users
• Provide hands-on desktop support and troubleshooting (Windows environment)
• Deliver white-glove support to executive team members, using non-technical language as needed
• Manage hardware and software inventory, coordinate with procurement for new IT assets
• Ensure timely resolution of tickets and incidents in line with service-level expectations
• Assist with onboarding/offboarding technology setups
• Maintain documentation of processes and solutions for knowledge base

Required Skills:

• 3+ years in a desktop support or IT help desk role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical concepts
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Experience supporting executive-level staff is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as required
