What We’re Looking For:

IMS is looking for an IT Operations Manager to oversee our company’s hardware, software and computer networks. You will be responsible for monitoring network infrastructure and resolving system issues. You need to have experience with IT performance management, network administration and system security. If you’re also familiar with data protection regulations and able to juggle multiple projects, we’d like to meet you. Additionally, experience with managing IT personnel will make you a great candidate for this position.


How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Asset Management: Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all on-premises devices and hardware components, including desktops, laptops, servers, peripherals, and networking equipment.
  • Lifecycle Management: Develop and implement strategies for the procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of IT hardware assets in alignment with organizational goals and budgetary constraints.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security measures and compliance protocols for all on-premises hardware to safeguard data integrity and protect against cyber threats.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, oversee service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure timely delivery of hardware products and services.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of IT support personnel, ensuring prompt resolution of hardware-related issues and incidents.
  • Capacity Planning: Forecast future hardware requirements based on business growth projections and technological advancements, recommending upgrades or replacements as necessary.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to hardware inventory, maintenance schedules, warranties, and expenditures.


What You Bring to the Table:

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience as IT Operations Manager
  • Experience with system installation, configuration and analysis
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and cloud computing
  • Knowledge of data protection operations and legislation (e.g. GDPR)
  • Extensive experience within an organization’s IT department working as technicians or analysts, along with some management experience
  • Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining IT systems and equipment
  • Leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, IT or relevant field
  • Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience


Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s degree in management information systems or business administration
