Summary

The Business Systems Analyst partners with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and recommend technology solutions that address organizational and customer needs. The role collaborates across business and IT teams to optimize systems, enhance product offerings, and support the delivery of IT and automation initiatives. The analyst drives continuous improvement by combining strong business acumen, analytical thinking, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:


  • Develop functional requirements, based on business requirements, and identify the non-functional requirements for the solution architect.
  • Identify any gaps in business requirements and follow up with end-users to detail the requirements.
  • Explain to business users how the proposed solution will address their business requirements.
  • Develop a deeper understanding of the business processes, business organization, and expected business outcomes.
  • Understand the product features and out-of-box requirements and map these to the functional requirements.
  • Conduct fit-gap analysis on products and develop reasonable working alternatives.
  • Support the product evaluation during the service definition phase.
  • Manage the changes in functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop the test cases, test plan and test data for the requirements.
  • Assist in conducting functional testing.
  • Ensure the operational support processes are aligned with the business objectives and stated business requirements.


Qualifications:


  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience in driving business requirements (experience in financial services organizations is a plus).
  • Part of the execution team for a minimum of 3 projects, and should have worked end-to-end on those projects from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools and documentation standards
  • Experience working with project managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders
  • Understand the high-level processes and products in financial services
  • Able to clearly articulate business requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements
  • Able to translate requirements to testable requirements and write test cases and test outcome for each requirement
  • Ability to effectively communicate business needs to the technology teams.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and business acumen to enable innovation and continuous improvement within the organization


The candidate must be willing to work onsite and be assigned in Makati/ Ortigas.
