Company Description

Hicom HBPO Sdn Bhd is a joint venture between OPmobility (formerly HBPO GmbH) and HICOM Engineering Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of DRB-HICOM. The company specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of Front End Modules (FEM) for Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia (ASEAN) market. As part of its growth strategy, Hicom HBPO focuses on New Product Development (NPD) to produce and supply FEMs to local OEMs, continually expanding its capabilities and offerings within the region.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Information Technology Executive (In-House Developer), located in Shah Alam. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Roles include supporting and enhancing internal business applications within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. The role involves developing digital solutions, automating workflows, integrating ERP and production systems, and supporting key operational areas such as finance, sales, procurement, and inventory. The ideal candidate is hands-on, tech-savvy, and passionate about process optimization through digital tools like Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. Familiarity with Kaizen principles, manufacturing systems, and ISO standards (IATF 16949, ISO 27001) is highly valued. A continuous improvement mindset and strong problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience: 2-3 years of hands-on experience in operations, preferably in finance, inventory management, procurement, sales, or production.

ERP Knowledge: Experience in ERP upgrades/enhancements as a key user or end user.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, SQL, and HTML.
• Familiar with MySQL, SQL Server, Laravel, and Form.io.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for workflow automation and business intelligence.

Additional Knowledge (Advantageous):

• Understanding of networking and hardware.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001, IATF 16949, and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Strong interest in manufacturing, automation, and process optimization.

Soft Skills:

• Reliable, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to learn new technology, explore, and innovate.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
