The Role:
As a developer, you will write and maintain code for cloud native microservices, working closely with your team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. You will participate in code reviews, design software solutions, implement new features, and optimise performance. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining documentation, providing expert advice, troubleshooting and fixing bugs, ensuring security, testing software, deploying applications, providing technical support, participating in agile processes, mentoring others, and completing other tasks as set by your scrum master or team leader.
Skills and Experience Required:

• Is proficient in Typescript and Node.JS.
• Has experience implementing solutions using cloud native services.
• Has experience with writing unit tests in modern frameworks like Mocha or Chai.
• Has experience developing NodeJS based microservices using the Express framework.
• Has hands on experience with most of the following technologies: AWS Lambda, API Development, AzureDevOps, AWS DocumentDB, and Google Apigee.
• Has knowledge or experience with some of the following technologies: AWS IaaS, AWS Fargate, AWS Kinesis, AWS CloudWatch, Containerisation, and custom rules engines.
Location and Contract Term: This role is based in Melbourne (Docklands), Adelaide, Canberra and Brisbane . 12 month contract with 2 x 12-month extension options pending budget and delegate approval.
Security Requirements: Applicants must be Australian Citizens. A Baseline security clearance is required.
