Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer to join a Federal Program located on Tyndall AFB, FL. The ISSO will support the Department of Defense by managing the day-to-day security operations. Responsibilities of the Information System Security Officer include: * Support the ISSM in defining, creating, and maintaining documentation for ADCS system certification and authorization. * Evaluate impacts of system modifications and technological advancements. * Develop, implement, and uphold information security policies, procedures, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). * Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate risks. * Monitor security logs and alerts for suspicious activities; respond promptly to incidents. * Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to integrate security requirements throughout the system development lifecycle. * Stay informed about current and emerging security threats and vulnerabilities. * Participate in security audits and assessments by internal and external parties. * Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. * Manage and maintain security documentation, including incident reports, risk assessments, and policies. * Keep abreast of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to information security. Qualifications for the Information System Security Officer include: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience. * Minimum 7 years of experience in information security, or 5+ years with BA/BS. * Active Secret Clearance is required. * IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP) per DoD directive 8140.01. * Strong understanding of information security principles, practices, and technologies. * Experience with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA). * Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
