Job description and duties
Coast Mountain College (CMTN), Terrace campus, invites applications for a term Program Coordinator in our Information Systems and Networking Diploma program. This appointment will commence as soon as possible and end August 31, 2028. The salary will be in accordance with the BCGEU Instructor salary scale, ranging from $37.55 to $66.37 per hour.

Duties: In close collaboration with the Dean and instructors, the Coordinator will oversee program development and assume a leadership role in maintaining program quality, effectiveness, efficiency, and fostering student success. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
Instructor hiring and scheduling
Budget development / maintenance
Program and curriculum development
Educational liaison and articulation
Student recruitment/retention and advocacy, community outreach, and program promotion
All other related duties of similar scope and complexity
As an instructor, responsibilities will encompass facilitating student academic achievement, including course preparation, teaching, assessing student work, and providing constructive feedback, guidance, support and direction in the following courses:
Window Server management I
Information Technology Project Management Essentials
Virtualization and Cloud Computing I
Applied Operating Systems
Network Infrastructure Fundamentals
Linux Server Management I
Windows Server Management II
Windows Server Management III
Virtualization and Cloud Computing II
Linux Server Management II
Database Administration and Design
Networking Routing and Switching Essentials I
Networking Routing and Switching Essentials II
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in closely related discipline. Additional post-secondary education and training in teaching, (e.g. A Master’s Degree in Adult Education, a Provincial Teaching Certificate or, a Provincial Instructor's Diploma) is preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Demonstrated ability to supervise the program
Experience teaching in a variety of formats (i.e.: online, face to face and through distributed learning)
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching with the ability to inspire and mentor learners
Knowledge and enthusiasm for the best practices in equity, diversity, and inclusion in the classroom
Ability to function effectively across cultures, particularly with the local Indigenous communities
The successful applicant will possess a broad range of content knowledge, confidence and experience with business topics. Experience should demonstrate excellent technology and group facilitation skills.
