Emerging Tech LLC is a mission-driven federal contractor providing advanced IT and staffing solutions to government agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. We specialize in supporting complex, high-impact programs that require agility, security, and compliance at every level. As we expand our classified systems capabilities, we’re seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to join our team.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) overseeing classified information systems for federal contracts, including compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DAAPM, and RMF requirements
Own and manage the entire system lifecycle—from initial ATO through continuous monitoring—for classified systems supporting DoD clients
Lead risk management assessments, implement security controls (NIST 800-53), and maintain system documentation (SSP, RAR, POA&M, SCTM, SOPs)
Perform regular audits, vulnerability scans, and self-inspections using tools such as eMASS, DISA STIGs, and SCAP Compliance Checker
Collaborate closely with the FSO, engineering, and corporate IT to maintain system integrity, respond to incidents, and support classified operations (e.g., SIPRNet, SVTC)
Manage hardware/software change control, user access, and secure media handling
Support broader cybersecurity and IT infrastructure initiatives as needed
What You’ll Bring
Active DoD Secret clearance and U.S. Citizenship (required)
Bachelor's degree with 5+ years' experience managing DCSA-accredited systems
DoDM 8140.03 Intermediate-level (CISSP or equivalent)
Strong working knowledge of NIST 800-53, RMF, DAAPM, and classified cybersecurity operations
Experience with eMASS, DISA STIGs, and ConMon processes
Ability to create and maintain audit-ready system documentation
Excellent attention to detail, self-direction, and communication skills
