Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Information Security Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain our organization's security posture. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in cybersecurity, a proactive mindset, and a passion for protecting systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection systems.
2. Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents swiftly and effectively.
3. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk assessments.
4. Work closely with DevOps, IT, and Engineering teams to embed security into systems and processes.
5. Manage identity and access management (IAM), ensuring least privilege and role-based access.
6. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and best practices.
7. Investigate and remediate security incidents, including root cause analysis.
8. Stay current with the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies in the information security landscape.
9. Support compliance with relevant frameworks and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
2. 3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a similar role.
3. Hands-on experience with security tools like Snort, Suricata, Wireshark, Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.
4. Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
5. Solid understanding of network protocols, system hardening, and secure architectures.
6. Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
7. Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or CISM are a strong advantage.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience with Zero Trust architectures.
2. Understanding of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security.
3. Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes).
4. Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
