We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security professional to join ASB's Security Practice within Consultancy squad, responsible for cyber security advisory services. Our Security Practice helps to ensure ASB remains cyber-secure now and into the future, with a vision to make cyber security simple and easy for our customers and our people.

About the role:
As an Information Security Consultant, you'll play a key role in securing ASB's Cloud infrastructure and networks. By developing relationships with teams across the bank, you'll draw on your expertise to set a strong security posture and help teams deliver. You'll deliver high-quality cyber consultancy advice, risk assessments, conduct threat modelling exercises and interact with our vendors.
Specifically, You Will
- Work collaboratively with a broad range of Technology, Cyber and Business stakeholders with focus on the delivery of great cyber security outcomes.
- Deliver quality cyber security advice and recommendations in alignment with our Security Policies and Risk Appetite.
- Support the professional development of cyber security consultancy squad members through knowledge sharing and peer training where I have expertise and experience.
- Contribute cyber security expertise to wider technology strategic initiatives and planning.
- Seek to uplift cyber security knowledge and culture of all stakeholders.
- Maintain awareness of current threats and the potential impact to ASB.

- Broad cyber security capability, expertise, and 6+ years of experience across Cloud and on-premise technology.
- An in depth understanding security principles and technology combined with an ability to utilise this knowledge to guide team members and stakeholders to deliver secure by design solutions.
- Ability to communicate complex cyber security considerations in terms of business outcomes to enable highly informed senior decision making.
- Ability to focus on areas of most cyber security interest or concern, so that collective efforts are geared to addressing and improving areas where they deliver most value or mitigate most risk.
- Courage to challenge the status quo to help ensure cyber security outcomes are treated with appropriate focus and priority
