Unit Overview The Infection Control Department at GW Hospital plays a vital role in safeguarding patients, staff, and visitors by preventing and controlling the spread of healthcare-associated infections. The team collaborates across disciplines to ensure compliance with evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and hospital policies. Position Summary The Infection Prevention Coordinator is responsible for the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections throughout the hospital. This role conducts data collection, analysis, and reporting to regulatory agencies; supports outbreak investigations; and drives infection prevention initiatives across departments. The coordinator educates staff and fosters a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
