Must Haves:

• 2+ years of experience as an industrial engineer working on a plant floor
• Strong understanding of dock operations and material flow
• Experience operating a forklift or managing a team of people who operate forklifts

Plusses:

• CAD Experience
• LEAN manufacturing
• Experience with project management or cost management

Day to Day: As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for understanding the material flow or incoming materials including dock doors, trucks, truck unloading, truck schedules, loads on the vehicle, shipping, receiving, delivery schedules, and storage. This includes visiting various GM plants across the country to understand the full process of material flow for the purpose of creating automated forklifts.
