Responsibilities
Providing support and guidance in developing social skills and positive behaviors
Assisting individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and personal care tasks in a classroom based setting
Implementing behavior management techniques to support individuals in a classroom environment
Engaging individuals in meaningful activities to enhance their daily living skills
Collaborating with other instructors to execute individualized care plans
Offering direct support in areas such as community based activities
Qualifications
Experience in direct support, caregiving, social work or any past experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities is highly preferred
Proficiency in direct support techniques and working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive and transport individuals as needed for community based interactions
Certification or training in medication administration is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 38 per week
