About the team:
As part of the Controllership organization at the Company, we are responsible for accounting, compliance, and reporting results. We enable technology functions to build and deliver solutions that contribute to the overall success of Walmart’s eCommerce and Stores businesses. We take care of IDC accounts payable which includes all vendor payables, employee payables and related compliances. We achieve this while maintaining a high level of operational excellence and the highest standards of ethics, integrity, transparency, and respect for others.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage accounts payable functions, including PO and Non-PO vendor invoice processing, T&E, payment, and reporting.
- Handle documentation and queries from banks on payments in domestic and overseas remittances.
- Conduct periodic reviews of Travel Advances, Supplier Advances, Debit balances, and GRIR Accounts payables line items, and follow up with concerned parties for clearing.
- Develop, implement, and maintain systems, procedures, and policies related to accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Prepare and disseminate P2P MIS.
- Lead and manage multiple stakeholders to streamline cross-functional processes and drive cross-functional projects.
- Support the team with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Assist with various audits (statutory audit, tax audit, internal audit, IFC audit) and prepare monthly schedules.
- What You’ll bring:
- Graduate in any discipline; CA/CA-Inter, MBA preferred.
- 6 - 8 years of relevant experience with team management experience.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Exposure to SAP, Ariba, and Coupa would be ideal.
- Proficient in PowerBI or similar dashboard applications, PowerPoint and Excel, working with SAP ERP Systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
