Imports Documentation Supervisor

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: JBS Imports is seeking candidates for a Documentation Supervisor role for our team in Greeley, CO. Candidates need to be able to work independently and within a team, be able to handle change, and operate within a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Documentation Manager.

JBS Imports is one of the largest meat importers in North America, handling approximately one quarter of all beef and small stock shipments to the region. We import the finest beef, lamb, goat, pork and other meat products from JBS and 3rd party suppliers in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and South America. JBS Imports’ main office for sales and operations is in Greeley, Colorado.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee imported containers from the receipt of documents from origin through data entry into the system and invoice set up
  • Interface directly with customs brokers, 3rd party vendors (product vendors, shipping lines, and domestic warehouses), sales staff, customers, and internal support groups such as accounts payable, inventory control, logistics, etc.
  • Communicate with vendors, brokers, sales, and warehouses regarding inventory arrivals, issues, and other problems
  • Perform efficiently and follow through on all parts of detailed document checking and entry day to day, as well is in a supportive role to the team
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Prior logistics/documentation experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Ability to problem solve, train, and be backup as needed within a small team
  • Leadership skills and willingness to continue developing those skills
  • Self-motivated and willing to stay focused under stressful or time sensitive situations; effective time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks with a high level of attention to detail. Strong organization and detailed note-taking are encouraged
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including client facing and internal communication
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $60,000-$70,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
