Activities:
- Ensures Compliance for Customs operations
- Internal daily/weekly shipping meetings for import planning and follow up with all parties involve. (Import Ocean Freights, Import Land Freight, Import Air Freight)
- Responsible for preparing and request the necessary permits to ensure operation.
- Elaborate all customs paperwork.
- HTS classification process with Mexican custom broker and corporate.
- Track and trace of shipments.
- Coordination between broker, freight providers and warehouse.
- Request, review and keep/File COO from suppliers and legal requirements according to FTA - Import duties optimization
- Extra expenses control and claims to suppliers/forwarder for not authorized charges.
- Support in claims for damage material in transit.
- Analyze and determinate the correct import process
- Generate and update WI, SOP, Legal Information instructions.
- Provide guidance and training to team members by answering questions on any specific work-related issues.
- Supplier payment approval and control (Mexican custom broker & Freight)
- Implementation of Compliance management control.
- Attend Customs or Tax authorities in case of an audits.
- Monthly reports, risk analysis and corrections plan and establish measurable objectives and KPI's .
- Import-Export Record-Keeping Compliance. Control of the documentation of any process related to customs Operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree
- Conversational English skills (preferred)
- Knowledge of Oracle ERP system.
- Knowledgeable in all import/export government regulations and procedures and IMMEX Program
- Must have a strong understanding of business, trading practices, laws, mathematics and great communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in fast paced environmen
- Take input from a variety of International participants to help set priorities.
- Be a self starter that initiates resolution of problems- Must be able to prioritize work flow and complete tasks with high level of organization and efficiency with minimal supervision
