Implementation Senior Consultant – Payroll Operate Services

The opportunity

As our Implementation Senior Consultant, you’ll play a pivotal role in our expansion efforts. This position will involve delivering comprehensive payroll implementation services to our diverse clientele. In close collaboration with our SAP Implementation team, you will be instrumental in facilitating the seamless migration of payroll systems from Preceda to SAP. This transition is critical for enhancing our clients' payroll capabilities and ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will support the configuration for a variety of clients across different sectors and complexities. Following the migration, this role will involve direct client engagement, where you will provide expert guidance on all payroll related matters. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to establish and enhance new procedures and processes while fostering relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your expertise in Payroll Implementation to support the Senior Manager of Payroll Operations Services by advising clients on payroll implementation processes and inquiries
  • Oversee the transition from Preceda to SAP, ensuring that all payroll data is accurately migrated and configured to meet client specifications
  • Collaborate with the SAP transition team to develop a detailed migration plan that addresses potential challenges and ensures a smooth transition for clients
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of payroll processes post-migration to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Manage payroll configuration and compliance, utilising our offshore team to ensure client requirements are met and projects are delivered within scope
  • Manage multiple projects and a diverse client base, with opportunities to design and execute onboarding, configuration, and design for new clients
  • Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate global clients, including potential meetings outside of regular business hours

What We Look For

To be considered for this role you must have

  • Executed end-to-end payroll implementation projects, including requirement gathering, project planning, execution, and post-implementation support
  • Conducted data migration and validation activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity during the transition from Preceda to SAP
  • Managed project timelines, deliverables, and client expectations to ensure successful project delivery

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Served as the primary point of contact for all payroll implementation-related inquiries from clients and SAP consultants
  • Customised payroll configurations based on client-specific needs across various industries and complexities
  • Provided support and troubleshooting for complex issues related to Employee Central and Payroll
