Job Purpose:
The Implementation Consultant – Payments with CINC is responsible for successfully supporting both new and existing customers during implementation by helping them implement and optimize AP processes in CINC, with a primary focus on payments. He/She will understand the customer’s business needs to configure CINC’s AP solutions to ensure customers fully realize the value of their AP strategy with CINC. The Implementation Consultant will work closely with the Project Manager to manage project milestones and drive delivery regarding the payments portion of each project. The individual will be part of multiple disciplinary teams in the delivery of customer contractual obligations and is responsible for the successful and timely completion of projects resulting in customer sign-off and project acceptance. This role supports high-volume, fast-paced implementation activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers to understand their current AP & payment processes, pain points, and desired outcomes.
- Develop a blueprint for implementing the AP and payment solution, considering customer requirements, system capabilities, and integration needs.
- Set up and configure the chosen AP software or system, ensuring it aligns with the designed solution.
- Work in partnership with CINC’s Payment partner to support the implementation and adoption of the solution.
- Migrate relevant data (e.g., vendor information, invoices) into the new system.
- Thoroughly test the system to ensure it functions as expected and meets customer requirements.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during implementation or post-implementation.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing AP and payment processes and recommend solutions.
- Remain current on release updates and product knowledge for assigned products
- Provide coordination and clear communication via phone, email, and SFDC on the case or other customer implementation and support activities to both internal and external customers
- Provide feedback to the payments team on any customer challenges or needed changes to processes.
- Maintain implementation documentation repository as needed
- Maintain a high level of commitment to superior customer satisfaction throughout the entire duration of the customer relationship
Minimum Requirements & Competencies:
- Experience with AP systems and payment processes: Familiarity with various AP software solutions, preferably cloud-based platforms.
- Strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers, internal teams, and technical staff.
- Influencing Skills: To help navigate change and enable customers to adopt payment capabilities
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to AP processes and system implementation.
- Project management skills: Ability to manage projects, track progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and identify areas for improvement in AP processes.
- Knowledge of AP processes: Familiarity with the full cycle of AP activities, including invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliation.
- Technical skills: Understanding of IT systems, data migration, and system configuration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, as well as detail-oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
- Ability to prioritize workload and work efficiently without supervision
- Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects with several teams
- Experience with CINC’s solutions, or competitor solutions, desired
- Prior experience in implementing and/or supporting software applications
- Prior experience with direct customer/external-facing engagements
