To co-ordinate and manage an industry led education and training initiative for the Irish Financial Services sector. The Network Manager will be responsible for ensuring activity and financial targets are met and appropriate operational and governance procedures are followed. The Network Manager will also be responsible for managing and developing relations between the various stakeholders and for deepening Ibec member relationships where appropriate. About The Role
Key tasks
Work with Skillnet Ltd, FSI Members and the FSI team to develop the network and execute a training plan that meets the needs of the members
Develop accounting, procurement, and governance procedures to ensure all legislative, Skillnets and best practice standards are met
Oversee the financial management of the project putting appropriate controls in place
Managing the relationship with accounting, training and any other service providers
Implement the operational plan ensuring activity and financial targets are met and provide reports on these as required
Identify potential shortfalls and appropriate measures to address where possible
Provide appropriate high level secretariat support to the steering committee and advisory groups, ensuring meetings are held regularly, appropriate minutes and papers are prepared and agreed actions are followed up
Manage relationships with and between the various stakeholders involved in the initiative
Represent and promote the work of the initiative using a variety of media such as social media & online, industry publications, seminars/conferences, promotional material
Identify opportunities for further and continued activity and develop an application for funding
Provide leadership, guidance, management and supervision to project team members
Carry out other duties as identified and agreed with the FSI Director that are appropriate to the overall purpose of the role
Promote the network and build the membership on an on-going basis

Qualifications, Skills And Experience
Third Level qualification
Desirable additional qualifications– Business/Marketing/Finance related qualifications
Knowledge
An understanding of the importance of skills development for Irelands economic future
Understands the role played by the various stakeholders involved in the project, individually and collectively
Has a knowledge of the principles of project management
Has a strong understanding of governance procedures
Understands the strategic role the IFS Skillnet and similar projects can play in the context of Irelands economic development
Shows an awareness of the potential value the project can deliver to Ibec members and the potential challenges it faces
Experience
An excellent capacity to accurately record, process and store information including financial data
A proven track record in maintaining databasing and archiving data
Business to business customer experience
Experience of working in a target driven environment
Marketing and promotional experience; e.g website, social media, events, promotional publications
Working and managing in a small team environment
Strong experience in training activity, course development and assessing the training needs of sectors/organisations
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Key Skills
Interfacing and working with senior executives from private and public sector
Experience of working in a project/target driven environment
Managing a large project or initiative where both industry and government funding is involved
Promotional or marketing activities e.g. developing materials, running events, setting up websites
Working in an environment where attention to detail was a key requirement
People management experience
Experience working in the financial services industry (an advantage)
