The Cybersecurity Team is seeking a strategic and hands-on Identity and Access Management (IAM) Manager to lead our IAM Build Team, consisting of IAM Engineers responsible for implementing and supporting our enterprise IAM solutions. The person will provide team leadership, technical oversight, and project coordination while maintaining a strong foundational knowledge of IAM principles and technologies. This role will report directly to the IAM Director and serve as a key member of the IAM leadership team, helping to drive the execution of our IAM roadmap and ensure alignment to provide the highest quality service to Insight Global business units and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the IAM Build Team, providing direction, support, and coaching to IAM Engineers.
  • Translate strategic IAM objectives into actionable plans and oversee day-to-day execution of build activities across identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, role-based access control, and privileged access.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and integration of IAM tools such as SailPoint, StrongDM, and other identity-related technologies.
  • Partner closely with the IAM Director to align engineering work with the overall IAM strategy and roadmap.
  • Coordinate with other teams across cybersecurity, IT operations, HR, and compliance to support identity and access governance efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IAM services, ensuring scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee the creation and maintenance of documentation related to IAM processes, architecture, standards, and workflows.
  • Support compliance and audit efforts by ensuring access controls are in place and functioning effectively.
  • Manage team workload, project timelines, and resource planning while promoting a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Information Security, IT Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in identity and access management or cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional IAM projects in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including identity lifecycle, authentication, authorization, RBAC, SSO, MFA, and privileged access management.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IAM tools and platforms such as SailPoint, StrongDM, Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID, or similar technologies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in delivering IAM capabilities in alignment with security best practices and regulatory requirements.
