Essential Skills (Two top skills)

  • Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
  • Hands-on experience in migrating legacy WebSphere environments to Liberty on AWS
  • Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, EKS, IAM.
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE development
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar.

Roles & Responsibilities Experience

Must-Have Skills

  • Experience with IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
  • Hands-on experience in migrating legacy WebSphere environments to Liberty on AWS
  • Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, EKS, IAM.
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE development
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Jenkins, Git, Maven, or similar.
  • Experience with IBM MQ
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Exposure to Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, or API Gateway
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security best practices in cloud-based environments

Roles and Responsibilities

  • End-to-end migration of middleware services from IBM WebSphere on-prem to WebSphere Liberty on AWS
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Refactor or re-engineer Java applications as needed for compatibility with Liberty.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and development teams to ensure successful deployment and integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Monitor system performance and scalability post-migration and optimize as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with best practices and organizational standards for security, reliability, and performance.
