IAM/IGA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced IAM/IGA Engineer to join our team at Ernst & Young. This project involves the design, implementation, and ongoing management of a secure and scalable Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solution to enhance user authentication and access provisioning. The IAM/IGA Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the organization’s security posture, streamlining access management processes, and supporting compliance initiatives for this critical client project.
As part of this project, you will work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver seamless IAM/IGA processes that meet business needs and ensure compliance with governance and security frameworks. This role requires a detail-oriented engineer with strong technical skills and a commitment to operational excellence and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, Implement, and Maintain IAM/IGA Solutions: Lead the development and implementation of IAM/IGA frameworks that ensure secure identity lifecycle management, including joiner, mover, and leaver (JML) processes for the client.
• Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Address and resolve operational disruptions by troubleshooting access-related issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions to improve reliability across the project.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Create and update documentation for IAM/IGA standards, procedures, workflows, and process assessments. Drive continuous process improvements in access control designs to support the project’s evolving needs.
• Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support for IAM technologies, working to resolve access issues and support the successful operation of IAM systems across different environments within the client project.
• Metrics and Insights: Leverage project-specific metrics to evaluate and improve IAM performance. Use insights to optimize user experiences, drive enhancements, and strengthen security within the project scope.
• Compliance and Control Activities: Ensure timely completion of required compliance tasks, attestations, and control activities as part of the client's adherence to security and governance frameworks.
Required Skills and Experience:
• IAM Technologies Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with IAM platforms such as SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta, and Directory Services.
• IAM Lifecycle Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of IAM processes, including identity governance (JML processes, provisioning, deprovisioning, roles, certifications, segregation of duties), Privileged Access Management (PAM), vaulting, password management, and certificate/key management.
• Compute Platform Proficiency: Deep familiarity with platforms such as Windows, Linux, mainframes, and databases.
• Security Framework Knowledge: Strong understanding of IAM-related security controls, compliance standards, and governance frameworks relevant to the Vanguard project.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex IAM/IGA issues and devise effective solutions.
• Process Improvement Experience: Successful track record of improving IAM processes and aligning solutions with broader business objectives.
• Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IAM governance and drive operational efficiency within large-scale projects.
