- Salary range: $85,000 - $90,000 annually.

Responsibilities:
- Leads and supervises the internal sanitation team to ensure all areas of the facility meet DO & CO hygiene standards.
- Manages and enforces daily, routine, and project-specific cleaning schedules across the facility, including locker rooms and high-touch areas.
- Develops, implements, and maintains Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) in compliance with company and regulatory standards (FDA, USDA, ISO, HACCP).
- Oversees inventory and ordering of food-grade chemicals, maintaining proper par levels and working closely with department managers and suppliers.
- Ensures accurate titration testing and daily verification of chemical concentrations used in dispensing equipment.
- Maintains and updates Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Chemical Supplier Specifications, and ensures PPE availability and staff training on chemical safety.
- Conducts regular audits to verify safe and effective chemical handling and compliance with all chemical hygiene requirements.
- Analyzes sanitation performance data to identify trends, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Prepares the facility for customer audits, health inspections, and both scheduled and unannounced regulatory reviews.
- Maintains comprehensive sanitation schedules and audit documentation, ensuring consistent compliance with food safety regulations.
- Develops and manages Environmental Testing Programs in collaboration with Food Safety and Hygiene teams, including root cause analysis when issues are identified.
- Oversees training and development of sanitation personnel, including onboarding, annual retraining, and corrective coaching.
- Delivers internal and client-facing training on sanitation best practices and protocols.
- Partners with supervisors and HR to implement corrective actions when hygiene or safety protocols are violated.
- Regularly updates SOPs and SSOPs to reflect operational updates, regulatory changes, and training needs.
- Promotes a proactive safety culture through training, engagement, and safety awareness initiatives.
- Investigates sanitation-related incidents and prepares detailed reports and corrective actions.
- Tracks sanitation-related quality KPIs and works collaboratively with Quality Assurance and Operations to ensure goals are met and maintained.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of Hygiene & Sanitation experience within a food manufacturing site.
- Profound knowledge in HACCP, ISO, SQF, and food safety systems.
- Food Safety Certification, state specific if applicable.
- HACCP Certificate.
- Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proactive and self-organized.
- Ability to manage through a substantial workload.
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks within the given time in order to meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
