Job Title: Hydraulic Systems Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Systems Engineer to design, develop, and test hydraulic systems, including valves, manifolds, cylinders, actuators, accumulators, and tubing. The role involves integrating hydraulic systems with propulsion and other mechanical components, conducting simulations, performance analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure mission readiness and success. The engineer will also collaborate with propulsion engineers and technical project teams to prepare technical documentation and stay updated with industry trends and advancements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test hydraulic systems such as valves, manifolds, cylinders, actuators, accumulators, and tubing.
• Integrate hydraulic systems with propulsion and other mechanical components.
• Conduct simulations, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Install and troubleshoot hydraulic systems to meet project specifications.
• Collaborate with propulsion engineers and technical project teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and system specifications.
• Ensure mission readiness and success of hydraulic systems.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements.
  
  

Essential Skills

• Expertise in hydraulics and troubleshooting.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a current active Secret clearance.
• Proficiency in hydraulic system simulation and modeling software such as MATLAB Simulink and Simscape.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  
  

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in hydraulic system design, testing, and integration.
• Experience with mechanisms and propulsion systems is highly desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72.00 - $84.00/hr.
