Job Summary:
We seek an experienced
Hydraulic Machine Mechanic with 2-3 years of hands-on expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hydraulic pumps, machinery, and systems. This role requires technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure machinery operates efficiently and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and Maintenance:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and machinery.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on hydraulic systems.
- Replace or repair defective parts, including seals, valves, hoses, and fittings.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve issues with hydraulic systems and machinery to minimize downtime.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test hydraulic performance and functionality.
- Provide technical solutions for recurring hydraulic system problems.
System Installation and Upgrades:
- Assist with the installation of new hydraulic systems and components.
- Upgrade and modify hydraulic systems to improve performance and efficiency.
- Interpret and follow technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety standards and regulations.
- Adhere to company policies and safety protocols during all tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to minimize hazards.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Provide detailed reports on equipment condition and recommended improvements.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project updates.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); technical training in hydraulics or machinery maintenance (preferred).
- Certifications in hydraulic systems repair or maintenance (preferred).
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience working with hydraulic pumps and machinery in a maintenance or repair capacity.
- Familiarity with various types of hydraulic equipment and tools.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, systems, and components.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and specialized hydraulic equipment.
- Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Work Environment:
- Work in industrial or workshop settings, often around heavy machinery.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights as needed.
- Flexibility to work overtime or on-call shifts as required.
