This is a hands-on operations role that involves close collaboration with multiple internal teams including Outages, Commercial Coordination, Scheduling, Gas Control, and Field Operations. • Analyze the impact of planned and unplanned outages on pipeline capacity and determine daily throughput capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely communication of system capacities.

  • Accept and respond constructively to feedback to continuously improve modeling accuracy.
  • Publish daily operational capacity data and support coordination of maintenance outages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
  • 7–10 years of experience in hydraulic modeling, specifically within the natural gas transmission industry.
  • Proven experience modeling mainline gas compression systems, including gas compressors (particularly electrically driven).
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following modeling tools: Flowdesk, NextGen, Winflow, or Synergy Gas.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple stakeholder groups.

Preferred Profile:

  • Prior experience in utility operations involving large-scale, cross-country natural gas pipelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle evolving outage scenarios.
  • Open to candidates who can take feedback positively and demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset.

Not a Fit If:

  • Experience is limited to process engineering, offshore drilling, or municipal water utilities.
