Structural Engineering Project Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a Structural Engineering Project Manager/Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage structural engineering projects from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure projects meet client specifications, adhere to building codes, and align with regulatory requirements while upholding quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage structural engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Perform structural analysis and design for various types of structures including architectural building projects.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, AISC, ACI, and IBC standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop effective solutions.
- Assess material properties and structural integrity to ensure safety and functionality of designs.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, timelines, and budgets.
- Support the development of graduate engineers and team members through mentoring and guidance.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in structural engineering and/or project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or must at least be in process for obtaining; Structural Engineering (SE) license is a plus.
- Proficient in Revit and other structural engineering software, such as AutoCAD, RAM Structural Systems, and RISA.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and standards including AISC, ACI, and IBC.
- Experience with quality control and quality assurance methodologies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- LEED Certification is a nice to have.
