HVAC Refrigerant Loop design release engineer.
Responsibilities
The HVAC Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor, A/C lines, Refrigerant Valves, Chillers and Sensors. The candidate will ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling, EE and suppliers. Duties will include managing all design and engineering aspects of the assigned commodity, writing source packages, specifications, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables. Candidate will maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, open issues list, issue resolution activity and support and component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required. Need to lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance. Candidates will also support pilot build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of HVAC components.
