Summary

Job Responsibilities

Technical College of the Lowcountry is recruiting Adjunct instructors to teach HVAC classes for the Spring and Summer semesters.

Teaching Responsibilities

  • Instruction including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development
  • Assess the accomplishment of students on a regular basis
  • Maintain records of student attendance, grades, and progress

Instructional Development

  • Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for the course
  • Work with other areas of the college such as Tutoring, Retention, etc. to help ensure student success
  • Prepare reports in cooperation with Division Dean for input in the planning/reporting system and/or for submission to the accrediting body of the College or program

Professional Development

  • Attend relevant professional meetings
  • Represent the College positively in interactions with the community and with professional and academic groups at the local, state, and national levels

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Two-year associate degree and experience working in the HVAC field. Teaching experience is preferred.
