The HR Senior Supervisor is responsible for performing various human resources functions within the concrete mix industry, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance with labor laws, and support for organizational initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR processes and methods, alongside familiarity with the unique challenges of the construction and concrete mix sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Staffing:
Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
Partner with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
Employee Relations:
Foster a positive workplace environment and address employee inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
Mediate and resolve employee conflicts and conduct investigations as necessary in compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
Implement and support employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities.
Performance Management:
Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback processes.
Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement plans and employee development opportunities.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs and assist in the design and delivery of training programs in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
Maintain training records to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards specific to the concrete mix industry.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, including OSH guidelines relevant to the concrete mix operations.
Maintain employee records, ensure data accuracy, and prepare reports as needed for management.
Compensation and Benefits:
Support compensation planning and assist employees with benefits-related questions.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs and enrollment processes.
Health and Safety:
Collaborate with safety officers to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Promote and support health and safety training initiatives to minimize workplace injuries.
HR Policies and Procedures:
Help develop and implement HR policies and procedures that promote a fair and equitable work environment.
Stay updated on best practices in HR and industry trends to make recommendations for improvement.
Miscellaneous:
Engage in HR projects and initiatives as requested by management.
Provide reports and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR Supervisor role, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or concrete mix industries.
Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and employment regulations.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
