Responsibilities
Support compliance-related tasks, including pre-employment requirements, off boarding paperwork, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to legal and company standards.
Orientation Coordination: Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees.
Collaborate in a team-based environment; providing excellent, friendly and responsive customer service to employees and managers pertaining to company policies, procedures, and benefit programs.
Ensure I-9 E-Verify is completed and escalate any E-Verify findings or compliance issues to the HR Manager.
Maintain sensitive and confidential personnel files, ensuring the accuracy of active/terminated files and contents.
Handle all aspects of HR administration: tracking introductory period, new employee orientations, ensuring performance appraisals are completed on time and are consistent with core values.
Assist with payroll administration, record keeping, and other payroll-related functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of all team member issues (e.g., compensation, corrective action, employee relations issues, performance reviews, etc.)
Assist managers and HR team with Job Description reviews.
Update DMV Pull Notice Program online, and audit Driver Vehicle.
Assign and monitor compliance of all training courses.
Perform other duties as assigned by Human Resources Manager.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. AA degree in HR preferred.
Strong knowledge of HR functions, including payroll.
2+ years of relevant work experience in Human Resource (Required).
Proficiency in HRIS/Payroll software, federal, state, and local regulations related to certified payroll, particularly in the construction industry.
Knowledge of compliance with prevailing wage laws for public works projects and submitting certified payroll reports is highly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail.
Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
