Summary

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Representative to join our growing team in either Cleveland or Toledo, Ohio. This entry-to-mid level role is ideal for someone with foundational HR experience who is ready to take the next step in their career. The HR Representative will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and recordkeeping.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment efforts: posting jobs, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and personnel files.
  • Track timecards, PTO requests, and support payroll processing activities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support compliance with state and federal employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist with employee relations issues by documenting concerns and escalating when appropriate.
  • Help coordinate training programs, employee engagement activities, and staff meetings.
  • Participate in audits, reporting, and special projects as assigned by HR leadership.


Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (healthcare or behavioral health setting a plus)
  • Working knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and recordkeeping requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS systems preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification (or in progress)
  • Familiarity with Ohio labor laws and Medicaid compliance (if applicable)
  • Experience supporting multi-site or multi-location organizations.
