Summary

Position Summary:


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager – HR Operations with expertise in payroll, HRIS, and employee grievance management, preferably from the hospitality (restaurants/hotels) or retail industry. This role is responsible for overseeing seamless HR operations across locations, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience through timely resolution of issues and effective systems management.


Key Responsibilities:


Payroll Management

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing across corporate and outlet teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, TDS, minimum wages).
  • Coordinate with finance and external payroll vendors for reconciliation, compliance filings, and audits.
  • Handle salary-related queries, corrections, and year-end processing.

HRIS Management

  • Administer and maintain the HR Information System (HRIS) to ensure accuracy and integrity of employee data across multiple locations.
  • Automate core HR processes such as onboarding, attendance, leave, separation, and employee records.
  • Generate reports for HR analytics, headcount, payroll metrics, attrition, and compliance.

Employee Grievance & Relations

  • Serve as the point of contact for handling employee grievances in a timely, confidential, and fair manner.
  • Partner with outlet/store managers and HR business partners to investigate and resolve complaints, conflicts, or violations of workplace policies.
  • Document and track grievance cases, outcomes, and preventive measures.
  • Foster a respectful and transparent workplace culture by promoting open-door communication and feedback mechanisms.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee on boarding, documentation, and lifecycle data management across the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state labor laws and internal HR policies across all outlets.
  • Support audits, inspections, and standard operating procedure (SOP) development.
  • Work closely with operations managers and HR teams to ensure consistent practices across locations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience in HR operations with a strong focus on payroll, HRIS, and employee grievance handling in restaurants, hotels, or retail sectors.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software tools
