Hiba Academy Bay Area is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to be part of our founding team! We are hiring an HR Manager to join our new school and help shape the future of bilingual education in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is for an Summer 2025 start.

About Hiba Academy Bay Area:

Opening in Fall 2026, Hiba Academy Bay Area is a pioneering bilingual (English-Chinese) international school serving Pre-K to Grade 5. As part of a global network with a 160-year legacy of educational excellence, our mission is to shape a better world through innovative, high-quality education.

Role Overview:

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the HR Manager will lead the school's HR department including recruitment and selection of staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and embedding company policies and practices. The HR Manager will provide professional advice and expertise to school leaders and employees on all areas of HR, whilst also providing caring, empathetic and effective support and service levels to stakeholders which reflects Hiba Academy’s status as an elite school and employer of choice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Talent acquisition; leading strategies to attract both faculty and non-faculty talent to Hiba Academy and sourcing talent that is fully aligned with the Hiba purpose and values
• Designing and implementing exemplary processes around recruitment, onboarding and induction and providing caring, empathetic and effective support and service levels to stakeholders throughout the employee life cycle
• Oversee delivery of HR strategies at the school-level around Employee Relations, Compensation, Performance Management, Engagement, Development and Wellbeing
• Effective management of internal and external relationships including vendors and consultants eg PEO company, insurance brokers, external employment counsel
• Ensuring the school is fully compliant with Federal and State regulations and laws in relation to employment practices and staying abreast of legal updates that may impact the school.
