Summary

The Role - What’s the job?

This position is the primary leader for strategic workforce planning, recruiting, talent management, performance management and labor relations (in a union environment).


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary representative for the company regarding labor relations in a union environment.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor for the plant manager and leadership site positions…being consulted on hiring, retention and engagement strategies
  • Ensures the company adheres to the agreed collective bargaining agreements.
  • Ensures compliance with Corporate Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF), in control areas of HR Policy and Organization.
  • Provides employees benefits administration and support.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other concerns.
  • Manages the staffing process, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding/offboarding.
  • Investigation and resolution of employee concerns and conflicts.
  • Coordinate the performance management evaluations and salary reviews of Salaried employees.
  • Maintain employee records, Org Charts, HR Systems and processes.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies (Strategic Workforce Plan)


Requirements - What do you bring?

  • 4-year Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5+ Years demonstrated HR Experience
  • SHRM/PHR certified preferred
  • Knowledge of HR Systems and databases
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resource metrics
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and best practices
  • Experience with labor relations in a union environment
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (word, excel, outlook, power-point)
  • Kronos/UKG timekeeping experience is preferred


Pay Transparency

Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.


In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 to $155,120.
