The Role - What’s the job?
This position is the primary leader for strategic workforce planning, recruiting, talent management, performance management and labor relations (in a union environment).
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary representative for the company regarding labor relations in a union environment.
- Acts as a trusted advisor for the plant manager and leadership site positions…being consulted on hiring, retention and engagement strategies
- Ensures the company adheres to the agreed collective bargaining agreements.
- Ensures compliance with Corporate Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF), in control areas of HR Policy and Organization.
- Provides employees benefits administration and support.
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other concerns.
- Manages the staffing process, including recruiting, hiring, onboarding/offboarding.
- Investigation and resolution of employee concerns and conflicts.
- Coordinate the performance management evaluations and salary reviews of Salaried employees.
- Maintain employee records, Org Charts, HR Systems and processes.
- Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
- Design and implement employee retention strategies (Strategic Workforce Plan)
Requirements - What do you bring?
- 4-year Degree in Human Resources or related field
- 5+ Years demonstrated HR Experience
- SHRM/PHR certified preferred
- Knowledge of HR Systems and databases
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resource metrics
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and best practices
- Experience with labor relations in a union environment
- Familiarity with MS Office applications (word, excel, outlook, power-point)
- Kronos/UKG timekeeping experience is preferred
Pay Transparency
Certain states require pay information be provided in job postings. The national pay range for this position is $89,500 to $138,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 12% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The total target cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $100,240 to $155,120.
