A global leader in industrial manufacturing is seeking to hire a Human Resources Manager to provide both tactical and strategic HR leadership at a flagship production facility in the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area. This is a highly visible, plant-level position reporting directly to the Site General Manager. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Serving as the key HR business partner to site leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, talent development, and workforce planning.
• Leading all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding.
• Championing company policies and procedures while ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations.
• Driving continuous improvement across HR functions, with a focus on retention, employee engagement, and training compliance.
• Managing all site-level benefits administration, including health insurance, 401(k), workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims
• Leading investigations, managing HR documentation, and representing the company in legal proceedings (EEOC, NLRB, etc.) as necessary.
• Supervising and developing a team of HR professionals, ensuring a customer-service mindset and proactive support to the plant workforce.
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners on workforce development, organizational design, and employee wellness initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required (Business or HR preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience within manufacturing environment(s).
• 3+ year of formal HR Management experience.
• A strong command of employment law and HR best practices.
• Union experience preferred.
