Description
Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our manufacturing team in Fresno, California. In this role, you will oversee a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, payroll administration, employee relations, and compliance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational growth and foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment process for multiple open positions, including posting job ads, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Accurately administer payroll, ensuring timely processing and compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to align with business objectives and promote a supportive work environment.
- Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, resolving conflicts, and offering guidance to both managers and staff.
- Conduct disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies and employment laws, including proper documentation and follow-up.
- Maintain comprehensive HR records, including personnel files, attendance logs, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support management with performance reviews, compensation planning, and benefits administration.
- Coordinate and deliver employee orientation sessions and training programs to enhance workforce development.
- Provide strategic advice on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of HR management experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in recruitment, payroll processing, and employee relations.
- Solid understanding of labor laws, HR practices, and payroll systems.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- HR certification, such as SHRM-CP or PHR, is preferred but not required.
