Job Summary

The HR Generalist oversees daily operations of the Human Resources department, including hiring, interviewing, administering compensation and benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May supervise scheduling, assignments, and workflow of HR staff.
  • May support timely and constructive performance evaluations.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document compliance with training, education, and work assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and assist with hiring qualified candidates in coordination with managers.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility.
  • Administer new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Execute HR programs related to compensation, benefits, leave, discipline, investigations, performance management, safety, and morale.
  • Address employment-related inquiries and escalate complex matters as needed.
  • Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of HR management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification is a plus.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to move throughout company facilities as needed.
