Summary

Dear Future HR Person,


Off-Grid Europe is all about people, and you will be an integral part of our management team. You will drive our human resources scaling strategy with the following objectives:


  • Maintain a startup culture and mindset whenever possible and realistic to ensure we continue running a dynamic and authentic company that attracts and retains excellent people.


  • Implement global guidelines, frameworks, and support systems for all employees while developing and utilizing our ERP tools to establish a standardized, 360-degree approach to people management.


  • Ensure open and transparent communication for all employees, guaranteeing that no group—regardless of seniority or minority status—receives preferential treatment. Everyone is equal and will be treated as such.


  • Recruit, onboard, and ensure training programs are conducted for all employees.


  • Collaborate with all departments to provide a safe working environment for all employees.


  • Support management with day-to-day HR-related tasks while keeping the company’s well-being and overall objectives at the heart of decision-making.


Running a multinational company with diverse cultures while maintaining a non-corporate culture is no easy feat. HR is not just about policies and procedures—it requires strong human management skills to resolve conflicts at all levels, make objective and decisive decisions, and balance the company’s strategic objectives with the realities of day-to-day operations.

To deliver renewable energy solutions and build sustainable businesses around them. We develop transformative technologies, manufacture, install, and continuously improve system solutions, while also driving job creation and knowledge transfer in Germany and across Africa.


This is not a mission for the faint-hearted. You will be expected to:

• Travel to our local offices and ensure they align with our HR and company standards.

• Proactively drive the business forward by creating the conditions for employees to thrive.

• Solve problems effectively—things won’t always go as planned, but resilience and adaptability are key.

• Navigate skillfully between cultures, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Fluent written and spoken German

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus

• Degree and certification in HR or a related field

• Master all the HR related skills such as liaising with social security, payroll accountant, holidays etc 

• Proven experience in HR within a multinational startup environment
