Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit, is hiring a Director of HR to lead HR operations, labor relations, and culture-building initiatives. This role partners closely with executive leadership to support organizational strategy, manage a small HR team, and foster an inclusive, engaged workplace. The ideal candidate brings union experience, strong knowledge of MA employment law, and a hands-on, people-first approach.

Requirements

• 7+ years of HR experience, 3+ years in a leadership role
• Experience in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
• Prior experience with union negotiations and grievance handling
• Knowledge of MA employment laws

Preferences

• Experience working with bilingual or multicultural teams
• Budget oversight or vendor management experience
• HR certification
