Summary

SmallTalk Pediatric Therapy is looking for a positive, bright, experienced HR Administrator to join our team! SmallTalk Pediatric Therapy is a private, pediatric speech and occupational therapy clinic with locations in the San Diego area. This position is primarily based at our La Mesa clinic. Our HR administrator will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues. You will be the sole HR at our medium-sized business. People are our most important asset and you’ll be the one to ensure we have a happy and productive workplace where everyone works to realize our established mission and objectives. Promoting corporate values and shaping a positive culture is a vital aspect of a complete HR manager job description and specification.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring- experience in interviewing, onboarding, terminating employees
  • Onboarding/Orientation- ensuring a warm welcome and embrace of our culture
  • Credentialing- we will train you in this :)
  • Personnel Management (PTO/sick, benefits administration, leave of absence management, workers comp)
  • Inspections, Reports, Compliance
  • Health and Safety management
  • Payroll prep including bonuses
  • Retention and perks
  • Employee experience management
  • Policies and procedures management
  • Personnel quarterly reviews and career development
  • Personnel file management
  • Career Development and training

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience as HR Generalist or Administrator in a medical setting
  • Experience using Gusto
  • Proven working experience as manager or leadership position managing others
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Excellent soft skills, upbeat tone
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Computer literacy, adept at Google Workspace/GSuite and learning new software
