About the Role

Job Summary:


The HR Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department by performing a variety of administrative and HR-related tasks. This role assists in onboarding/offboarding, employee record-keeping, benefits administration, and general employee support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation, conducting orientations, and updating HRIS systems.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrolment, changes, and responding to employee inquiries.
  • Responsible for inputting, initiating and finalizing employee record(s) updates in Workday (HRIS).
  • Support Payroll processing, including, timely submissions of data changes.
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, such as preparing reports, drafting correspondence, and organizing events.
  • Respond to first level employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Help ensure compliance with labour laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and internal policies.
  • Participate in employee engagement initiatives and diversity and inclusion efforts.
  • Assist in audits and compliance checks related to HR processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year(s) of experience in HR or administrative support roles.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Workday and/or other HRIS systems.
  • This is an in-office position at 15 York Street, Toronto, Ontario.

Hybrid Work Environment

Our company operates in a hybrid work environment, offering flexibility for employees to work remotely and in the office. As part of this arrangement, all employees are required to be present in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
