We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resource Business Partner to support our dynamic organization by aligning HR strategies with business goals. As a business partner, you will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and enhancing organizational effectiveness.
Your responsibilities will include partnering with leadership teams to identify and address workforce needs, providing guidance on employee relations, and implementing HR initiatives that support talent development and retention. You will collaborate across departments to ensure compliance with policies and procedures while promoting fair treatment throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Collaboration:
- Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Act as a consultant to leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design.
Employee Relations:
- Address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and handle complex employee relations issues.
- Ensure a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Talent Management:
- Drive initiatives for talent acquisition, retention, and development.
- Identify opportunities for skill-building and professional growth within the workforce.
Performance and Engagement:
- Oversee performance review processes and help managers effectively evaluate and develop their teams.
- Develop strategies for improving employee engagement and productivity.
Change Management:
- Support employees and leaders during organizational transitions, such as furlough and restructures.
- Implement change-management strategies to ensure smooth transitions.
Compliance and Policy Implementation:
- Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws and organizational policies.
- Conduct training on workplace policies and collective bargaining agreement policies and procedures.
Leadership Development:
- Coach and mentor managers to enhance their leadership skills.
- Support succession planning and the development of future leaders.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and measure the success of HR programs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on workforce data.
Experience:
- 2+ years human resources generalist experience highly preferred; some specialist experience is a plus.
- Real-world experience supporting or implementing employee relations standards and conducting investigations.
- 2+ years of Labor Relations experience or experience operating in a union environment is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting a geographically dispersed workforce.
- Experience in hospitality is a plus.
- Project management experience or experience leading various HR initiatives like mergers and acquisitions, talent reviews, recruiting events and layoffs.
- Experience interpreting and applying federal and state employment law, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex associate relations issues at a large, multi-unit organization.
- Knowledge of labor and employment laws, e.g. NLRA, FLSA, FMLA, OSHA, etc.
- Strong skills in Microsoft products like Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint; advanced technical skills are a plus.
- Ability to successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with many personality types.
- Exceptional investigatory skills; keen ability to be objective and organized.
- Ability to utilize data to tell a story and inform solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required; bilingual is a plus.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills are a must.
- Must be a team player with a desire to collaborate, share, and participate in the growth and success of the team.

- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in human resources, law, analytics, or business is preferred.
