Here, craft meets community and bold flavor fuels purpose. Our company was founded by third-generation roasters who believed that a good cup of coffee could spark more than just a morning routine—it could ignite meaningful change.

Over the past 25 years, we have grown from a single small batch roastery into one of the Midwest’s most innovative coffee manufacturers. We now supply sustainably sourced, artisan-roasted coffee to over 3,000 cafés, hotels, and retailers nationwide. At our corporate headquarters, you’ll find a buzzing culture that blends the creativity of a startup with the stability of a legacy brand.

We’re looking for an energetic and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our most valuable ingredient—our people—by focusing on benefits administration and crafting an exceptional new hire experience. Whether it’s guiding a new employee through their first day or helping a tenured team member understand their health plan, you’ll be the go-to person in the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all benefits-related inquiries, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and wellness perks.
  • Support open enrollment activities: prepare communication materials, assist employees with enrollment, and track participation.
  • Assist with generating and creating benefits related to reports and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records in our HRIS and consult with providers to troubleshoot claims, coverage issues, and plan updates.
  • Coordinate pre-boarding and onboarding processes, from offer letters to welcome kits and Day One agendas.
  • Track completion of onboarding tasks and collect feedback to continuously improve the new hire experience.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of benefits administration experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new software
