As we continue to expand, we're seeking a motivated Human Resources and Benefits Assistant to join our dynamic Human Resources team.


Position Summary:

The Human Resources and Benefits Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the company’s total rewards program by administering employee benefits and wellness programs with accuracy, confidentiality, and a strong service orientation. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of group benefits programs (health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, etc.) and works closely with employees, HR team members, insurance providers, and third-party administrators to ensure seamless and efficient benefits delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage our employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, 401(k), life/disability insurance, and more.
  • Become an internal benefits expert—respond to employee questions, onboard new hires, and troubleshoot complex issues with empathy and precision.
  • Partner with HRIS and payroll teams to ensure seamless, error-free benefits data across systems.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and 401(k) trustees to resolve any issues related to benefits.
  • Maintain employee benefits records and ensure confidentiality.
  • Evaluate current plans and vendors, recommending improvements that align with our values and team needs.
  • Assist in preparing benefits-related reports and presentations.
  • Lead annual open enrollment including planning, communications, and vendor coordination.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in a HR role with a focus on benefits administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A people-first mindset with the ability to make complex benefits info simple and accessible.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
